The Metro Region:

The New York Metropolitan Service Learning Institute services the New York City area including Long Island. This institute provides Service Learning and Character Education pre-service and in-service teacher education. The New York Metro Institute fosters student leadership via the Summer Service Academy and develops templates that incorporate Service Learning and Character Education into school-based service learning activities and programs.
